Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Groundbreaking Ceremony
On May 7, 2022, a groundbreaking ceremony took place for the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help new addition and renovation project in Rapid City.
Rangel Construction will serve as the general contractor on the stone, steel, and glass construction project. The 8.5 million dollar expansion, entitled “In Stone and Steel,” will include a new St. Joseph Gathering Hall, a baptistry relocation, and basement renovations. Bishop Peter Muhich, Cathedral Rector Father Brian Christensen, Rangel Construction President Mario Rangel, and many others were on hand for the groundbreaking ceremony. The project is expected to last eighteen months and should reach completion in winter 2023.
